Whitehall Girl Wins Cinderella Scholarship Pageant

There's a new princess of Whitehall Borough.

Charli Donaldson, the daughter of Kelly and Jason Donaldson of Whitehall, earned the title of Cinderella Tot at the Pennsylvania Cinderella Pageant held during Memorial Day weekend at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort.

Charli is 5 years old and has been competing in pageants since she was 2.

"I worked really hard, and I wished with pennies in every fountain I saw," Charli said. "And my dream came true!"

During the weekend-long event, finalists from across the state competed for the Cinderella title in talent, interview, casual-wear modeling, party-wear modeling and photogenic categories.

In addition to prizes and scholarship money, Charli has also earned an invitation to represent Pennsylvania at the International Cinderella Scholarship Pageant in Las Vegas from July 22-26.

Now in its 38th year, the Cinderella Pageant celebrates girls and women for their age-appropriate natural beauty, poise, personality and talent. Since its inception, the Cinderella Pageant has awarded millions of dollars in college scholarships as well as helped thousands of girls worldwide hone leadership skills, according to a news release.
