Apparent Carbon Monoxide Death in Baldwin

The incident occurred on Saturday night, July 13.

The death of a 95-year-old man at a home in the 3200 block of Hazelhurst Avenue in north Baldwin Borough on Saturday night, July 13, was apparently caused by carbon monoxide poisoning, KDKA reports.

UPDATE: WTAE reports the deceased's name to be John Skerba. Skerba died shortly after 8 p.m.

Baldwin police Chief Michael Scott told KDKA that an elderly brother and sister who live at the house were there when it filled with carbon monoxide. Their car was left running in the house's garage.
