Police Look for Pit Bull's Owner After Biting Incident
The dog's owner has not yet been identified.
A Baldwin Borough police officer went to the Uni-Mart at the intersection of Keeport Drive and Knoedler Road in south Baldwin at around 6:35 p.m. on Nov. 26 for a dog bite incident, according to a police report. The officer spoke to a victim at the scene, who said that he was bit by a pit bull that was tied up near the Uni-Mart entrance about 30 minutes earlier. The victim, who works at the convenience store, said that he was taking trash to the store's dumpster when he was attacked by the dog, which had its leash attached to a clothing donation receptacle while its owner was inside of the store.
