Shop 'n Save Offers 20-Cent Pump Perks

The promotion comes at the same time as Giant Eagle's.

One day after Giant Eagle officials announced a 20-cent fuelperks! promotion, Shop 'n Save officials contacted Patch to tell us about their stores' 20-cent Pump Perks happening during the same time duration. Shop 'n Save shoppers will receive 20 cents off per gallon of gas for every $50 that they spend on groceries from May 16 through 29. The limited time promotion aims to double customers' savings at the pump in advance of one of the busiest travel weekends of the year. Spring Means Seedlings, Sprouts and Sustainability at Local Farms

Whether they are in the city or country, there are places near home where you can find fresh produce—or get seedlings to grow your own.

To every thing there is a season—and we are in the season of planting. Despite the frost warnings this week, May is the time when many plants take root. And not far behind are the early harvests. There are a number of local farms that provide a variety of seedlings and sprouts, produce, and other products as the growing season progresses. In response to FF19.....A landscaper has to pay for insurance, trucks, salaries, and supplies. Of course they charge more. They are also putting money back into the community by paying salaries, insurance, benefits and taxes. Many landscapers have degrees in landscape design. I don't understand why the term elderly neighbors was used I am sure they would charge the same to a 30yo.   more ›

We had a few brief light showers in the morning hours, after that it clouded up later and of course the wind was definitely strong yesterday, but nothing as severe as these predictions say. I believe they always err on the side of caution, no one really complains much if the weather turns out to be BETTER than the prediction, but they get all upset if it's WORSE than what was expected.   more ›

Man Shot in the Head in North Baldwin

A suspect has been arrested.

Allegheny County police Lt. Andrew Schurman told WPXI that Baldwin Borough police found a 24-year-old man who was shot in the head at a home in the 3400 block of Brickley Drive in north Baldwin early on Tuesday morning. The man is expected to survive the shooting, and Schurman told the TV news station that police arrested a suspect in the incident at the same house where the shooting occurred. 2004 Baldwin Graduate, where is this information coming from that your stating that Marty alone has returned money to all of the rightful owners. Isn't it a fact that people can go to the state and federal website and see if they are owed money and apply to have the money returned to them.
