Sex Assault Charges Held Against Brentwood Man

Charges against William Scherz, 73, of Brentwood, were held for court on Monday. Scherz was a Baldwin-Whitehall School District bus driver when he was accused in February of driving to Elizabeth Township to have sex with a 15-year-old boy. Scherz faces charges of corruption of minors, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and statutory sexual assault, among others. His formal arraignment at the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas is scheduled for May 9 at 1 p.m., according to an online court document. B-W School District Superintendent Dr. Randal A.
