Officers contacted the home's owner, who arrived shortly later, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said. Officers could not find forced entry anywhere to the home, but the owner reported that watches and other jewelry items valued between $3,400 and $3,500 were missing from the home. Two traffic stories from this past weekend.
Stay in the Car Next Time A Baldwin Borough police officer who recognized a motorist on Becks Run Road at around 3:09 a.m. on Saturday as possibly not having a valid driver's license turned out to be right. The officer, while following the vehicle and checking on the status of the driver—Kevin John Kubiczki Jr., 18, of Arlington Avenue in Pittsburgh's South Side Slopes neighborhood—learned that Kubiczki was driving with a suspended license. Kubiczki turned from Becks Run onto Madeline Street in the Carrick neighborhood and headed toward Brownsville Road at an unusually slow rate of speed, the officer reported, before he was pulled over near Carrick's Madeline-Brownsville intersection. The officer approached Kubiczki, who told the officer …

Injured Man, Fight, Warrant Out As the annual Caste Village fireworks show was wrapping up in Whitehall Borough at around 10 p.m. on Friday, a collection of Whitehall police officers received a report of an injured male lying on the ground in the main Caste parking lot. Officers found the male, who had recently received a blow to his mouth area, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said. Police called medics to the scene and cleared the area to treat the victim. The officers interviewed witnesses and were pointed to the direction that the attacker fled after allegedly striking the victim from his rear, blind side. Witnesses knew the attacker by name.
