Traffic from both directions on Brownsville Road will be restricted to just one alternating lane between Willard Drive and Curry Hollow Road 24 hours per day and seven days per week from 7 a.m. on Monday, May 13, until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 24, as part of the final phase of the Brownsville-Curry Hollow-Broughton Road realignment project. Work crews will be active from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays during that time period. Could the South Hills look more like South Side? Or better?
It's not that the bus stops along Route 51 in Brentwood, Baldwin and Whitehall aren't functional. They're just not very good. That is ... at least compared to what they could be. Pennrose, a Philadelphia-based real estate development and management company, announced through a news release the addition of Cloverleaf Village Apartments to its Pittsburgh-area portfolio. Work on a $5.6-million project to replace a bridge on Curry Hollow Road in Pleasant Hills Borough resumed on Friday, March 1, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0. Traffic is being reduced to a single, 10-foot wide lane in each direction between Route 51 (Clairton Boulevard) and Keeport Drive, and the restrictions will remain in place around-the-clock through mid-November.
