Two arrows were found on or near his property and a circular hole was left in the right rear-quarter panel of his Jeep. The arrows were camouflaged and had the words "Whitetail Extreme" written in white ink across them. The resident did not give anyone permission to hunt or target-practice on his property, Dolfi said. The chief did not rule out that a neighbor might have …

20 Year Resident of Baldwin/Whitehall

1:35 pm on Wednesday, February 20, 2013

How sad that there is so much turmoil in the Whitehall Place/Prospect Park apartments. It used to be a pretty nice place to rent. The management company running those apartments has experienced frequent change, though, and the rules of occupancy are not always enforced which probably causes strife amongst tenants; strife that the Whitehall Police must then attempt to settle.   more ›

Baldwin Man Arrested at Sunoco/APlus on Route 51 in Whitehall

Also, a 10-year-old is charged with stealing a fire extinguisher, and one other Whitehall police story from this past week.

Public Drunkenness Charge After Police Claim Disobedience A Whitehall Borough police officer on patrol stopped at the Sunoco/APlus gas station and convenience store along Route 51 at around 12:53 a.m. on Friday. When the officer walked into the store, he observed a man arguing with a clerk in what appeared to be an intoxicated state, Whitehall police Deputy Chief Richard M. Danko said. The officer advised the man—John Mallon Kearns, 21, of 541 Elaine Dr. in Baldwin Borough—not to get into his car in his current condition and drive away, but Kearns responded to the officer with vulgarity and dismissiveness, Danko said, and tried to get into his car anyway. The officer prevented Kearns from doing so and arrested him in the store's parking …

10-Year-Old Burglarizes Whitehall Apartment

And four other stories in these borough police notes.

10-Year-Old Burglar Whitehall police Deputy Chief Richard M. Danko said that a 10-year-old boy is to blame for burglarizing an apartment in the 1600 block of Skyline Drive in Whitehall Borough's Wallace (Prospect) Park area. Police went to that residence at around 9:39 p.m. on Friday to find glass from a broken window on the apartment's floor and its tenant complaining that some Xbox gaming equipment had been stolen. Police investigated the theft in that immediate area, conducted interviews and determined that the 10-year-old, who lives on nearby Parkline Drive, was to blame. The stolen items were returned to their owner that same night, and because of the boy's age, Danko said, no juvenile allegations will be filed against him. Teen …
