A brake pedal issue affecting more than 8,000 SUVs prompts the recall.
The Ford Motor Company is recalling more than 8,000 of its 2013 Escape compact SUVs because of a potential problem affecting the brake pedal, CNN has reported. The recall affects SUVs made between March 8 and June 7, 2012, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Involved in the recall are 8,266 Escapes. Baldwin-Whitehall residents encouraged to participate.
Officials from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation are asking Pennsylvania motorists—including those, of course, from Baldwin Borough, Whitehall Borough and Baldwin Township—to help the department's highway safety efforts by sharing their opinions on traffic safety enforcement and driving behaviors. The information will be collected via an online survey available through July 27 at www.JustDrivePA.com. The 22-question survey focuses on highway safety issues, including seat belts, impaired driving, speeding, motorcycles and distracted driving. People completing the survey may remain anonymous but are asked to provide their genders, ages and ZIP codes. More than 3,500 people responded to 2011's survey. Last year's notable results …
