Whitehall Man Arrested on Drug Charge at 911th Airlift Wing

U.S. Air Force security smelled an odor of marijuana emanating from contractors' van.

Contractors working at the 911th Airlift Wing in Moon Township were detained by U.S. Air Force security forces on Jan. 7 and charged with drug possession. The men—48-year-old Emil Provident of Whitehall Borough (Margaret Street) and 37-year-old Robert McGrail—were charged by Moon Township police with prohibited acts after Air Force security said that the men tried to bring marijuana paraphernalia onto their base. Provident and McGrail, who are employed by a roofing contractor working for the air base, were stopped at a security gate after security smelled an odor of marijuana emanating from their van. Security then searched the vehicle and found a pipe and bags smelling like marijuana. All persons are subject to search on a military …

Whitehall Man Arrested Twice in 3 Hours

It started with a one-vehicle crash on East Barlind Drive ...

Whitehall Borough police officers arrested Adnan Omeragic, 51, at around 3:34 p.m. on Saturday and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol after Omeragic crashed his van into a utility pole on East Barlind Drive, Whitehall police Deputy Chief Richard M. Danko said. Then, after being booked at the Whitehall police station and released to the custody of his daughter, police arrested Omeragic again after he was found walking in the middle of a Whitehall stretch of Provost Road at around 6:10 p.m. This time, Omeragic, who lives at 4512 W. Barlind Dr. in Whitehall, was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and obstruction of highways or other public passages. He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail. Police …
