Window Smashed A Whitehall Borough resident from the 5000 block of South Passage Drive contacted police at around 7 a.m. on Feb. 26 to report that a rear window of his van had been smashed out. The incident occurred sometime after 7 the previous night while it was parked in the victim's driveway, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said. Police checked in and around the van in an attempt to find an object that could have been used to do the damage, but nothing was found. Nothing was stolen from the van, and the victim could not think of why anyone would target him. "It appears to be an isolated incident," Dolfi said. Assault, Harassment Charges Along Parkline Drive Whitehall police went to the rear parking area of 1801 Parkline Dr. in …

Marijuana Alarm Whitehall Borough police responded to a smoke alarm at 4348 Seton Dr. at around 6:39 p.m. on Jan. 15 only to find that the homeowner's marijuana smoke admittedly had caused the alarm, Whitehall police Deputy Chief Richard M. Danko said. The home's alarm notifies local police when it is triggered. When police arrived at 4348 Seton, they met the homeowner—William J. Korach, 33—at his doorway and detected an odor of marijuana coming from the house. Korach said that the alarm was false, but upon further investigation, police located a small amount of marijuana and some drug paraphernalia that Korach said was his, Danko said. The deputy chief said that Korach admitted to smoking marijuana and that that's what set off his alarm. …

10-Year-Old Burglar Whitehall police Deputy Chief Richard M. Danko said that a 10-year-old boy is to blame for burglarizing an apartment in the 1600 block of Skyline Drive in Whitehall Borough's Wallace (Prospect) Park area. Police went to that residence at around 9:39 p.m. on Friday to find glass from a broken window on the apartment's floor and its tenant complaining that some Xbox gaming equipment had been stolen. Police investigated the theft in that immediate area, conducted interviews and determined that the 10-year-old, who lives on nearby Parkline Drive, was to blame. The stolen items were returned to their owner that same night, and because of the boy's age, Danko said, no juvenile allegations will be filed against him. Teen …
