Where to Watch March Madness in Baldwin-Whitehall

Beer, wings and hoops ... It's tournament time. Here's where to catch the games.

Don't have enough TV screens to keep up with your March Madness bracket? There are plenty of viewing options in and around Baldwin-Whitehall. This week's restaurant spotlight is McCoy's Pub, located in the Curry Commons shopping center along Curry Road in Baldwin Borough. McCoy's is a classic neighborhood sports bar, featuring televisions and a number of choices for drinks, pizzas and wings. I would like to open a place called the “Barter Barn" in the 2,000 SF vacant space in the Bottom Dollar shopping center. This store will be open to the public where people could come to trade various things with each other…….sounds like a pawn shop, you say….NAY! Visions for Vacancies: What Could Fill a Need at Curry Road Commons?

Spaces are available for lease.

It wasn't too long ago that this writer would frequent the Curry Commons shopping center in Baldwin Borough for a hoagie from Mariana's Pizza or a carton of iced tea from the corner mini-mart. Man, what was the name of that place? Haf-Mart? In any event, those stores are long gone, and with them has come vacancies along Curry Road. But Burns & Scalo Real Estate Services has those properties available for lease, and the annual rent, according to the Burns & Scalo website, is negotiable. Currently occupying space at Curry Commons are places like Salvatore's (banquet hall), South Hills Embroidery (apparel and design shop) and McCoy's Pub (bar/restaurant), among others.
