Final Phase of Brownsville-Broughton-Curry Hollow Project Begins Monday

It won't be pretty through at least May 24.

Traffic from both directions on Brownsville Road will be restricted to just one alternating lane between Willard Drive and Curry Hollow Road 24 hours per day and seven days per week from 7 a.m. on Monday, May 13, until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 24, as part of the final phase of the Brownsville-Curry Hollow-Broughton Road realignment project. Work crews will be active from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays during that time period. Temporary traffic signals will remain in place as this large, $8.6-million project being overseen by the Allegheny County Department of Public …

Lengthy McNeilly Road Project

Traffic restrictions through early July.

Residents of Baldwin Township, Mt. Lebanon, Dormont Borough and the Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Brookline and Overbrook may want to consider other plans for their morning and evening commutes for a while. Busy McNeilly Road could see its traffic come to a crawl—and often a stop—as crews from the Allegheny County Department of Public Works perform daylong milling and asphalt repaving on that road from June 11 through July 5. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, traffic may be limited on McNeilly to alternating, single-lane use from Route 88 in Overbrook to Midland Street on the border of Mt. Lebanon and Dormont. Restrictions may also occur on Fridays if inclement weather conditions affect the work schedule. Traffic will be …

Anna from Pioneer to Midland where you live is the City of Pittsburgh, so you have to get in touch with them to fix that section of the road as the County doesn't own it and they won't pave what they don't own. That is just like if you need a new roof on your home, you can't expect your neighbors to pay for it.   more ›
