Fights Along Curry Road Cap Youth Football Banquet

The incident occurred on Saturday night at Salvatore's in south Baldwin Borough.

Baldwin Borough police went to the Curry Commons shopping plaza in south Baldwin at around 10:33 p.m. on Saturday for a report of multiple fights and a driver suspected by police of being intoxicated leaving the plaza's parking lot with children. The incident took place after a banquet for Thomas Jefferson Youth Football at Salvatore's of Little Giant World of Catering. According to a police report of the incident, multiple witnesses said that they saw Gregory M. Borneman, 31, of Chelton Avenue in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood, fighting with other men both before and after driving his car in and near the parking lot. I was there. In fact, I agree that no one should have been drinking. I don't believe that people should drink around kids, as my own personal value system. That is why I stated that in a previous comment. All I was saying is I know that the fights were protecting the children and in my eyes that doesn't make them idiots. Another Large Marijuana Bust in Whitehall Boro

Search Warrant Leads to Marijuana Bust at Prospect Apartment Whitehall Borough police officers who went into 1821 Skyline Dr., Apt. 21, with a search warrant at around 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 reported finding over a half-pound of marijuana and an assortment of drug paraphernalia there, according to Whitehall police Deputy Chief Richard M. Danko. The officers obtained a warrant for the Wallace (Prospect) Park-area apartment based on an ongoing investigation regarding drug sales originating from the residence, Danko said. Among the paraphernalia that the officers found were digital scales, smoking pipes, packaging material, U.S. currency stored inside of a plastic container, and a marijuana grinder. Agree. The last time there was a drug bust by Whitehall a few people were upset over the drug bust, as they said the cops should be doing other things besides looking for pot smokers. The more drugs they take away though drug bust the better the community is.   more ›

Fighting, Underage Drinking Lead to Police Activity During Caste Fireworks

Injured Man, Fight, Warrant Out As the annual Caste Village fireworks show was wrapping up in Whitehall Borough at around 10 p.m. on Friday, a collection of Whitehall police officers received a report of an injured male lying on the ground in the main Caste parking lot. Officers found the male, who had recently received a blow to his mouth area, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said. Police called medics to the scene and cleared the area to treat the victim. The officers interviewed witnesses and were pointed to the direction that the attacker fled after allegedly striking the victim from his rear, blind side. Witnesses knew the attacker by name. Hammers and Shovels Fight on Leona Drive

Leona Drive Fight Whitehall Borough police officers came to the 4800 block of Leona Drive on Saturday at around 12:11 a.m. in response to a fight between two men that involved hammers and shovels, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said. Officers stopped the fight upon arrival and discovered that the two men "have a history together," Dolfi said. The men had started arguing sometime before the fight before that argument escalated into violence. One of the men was injured at the scene, and workers from Medical Rescue Team South Authority responded to treat him. His injuries were not life-threatening, Dolfi said.
