Why are we getting Philly news on a Pgh community site.? What hapened to local coverage?. That isRead More what made Patch such a unique useable site.
PS April 7, 2014 at 04:13 pm
Something must be linked wrong with this story because your Pittsburgh comments are showing up onRead More our Philly suburb patch...
Mike Jones April 7, 2014 at 04:50 pm
There's nothing wrong. This is the new delocalized Patch. They've cross-published this story to allRead More websites in Pennsylvania. That's why you're seeing everyone's comments. For some reason, the people in New York City think we Pittsburghers give a hoot about the Phillies getting rained out.
It's our national pastime. Should it be a national holiday, too? (Patch file photo)
Diane Berl April 1, 2014 at 03:03 pm
No holiday!!!! Our children already score lower than other countries in education. They don't needRead More anothe lame excuse to miss school.
Andrew April 1, 2014 at 04:53 pm
Baseball isn't the national pastime anymore. So no, no holiday.
Roger Jurczak April 1, 2014 at 08:05 pm

Forget the time - the kid played high school basketball, which was against the rules. He took theRead More opportunity to win 10K from someone else and gets rewarded for it. Lame.
Gina TB February 20, 2014 at 11:24 pm
If he had to make the shots on the 1st try then why did they allow him the 2nd shot? after heRead More missed the 1st half court shot that should have been the end. Publicity shot or not i commend Pizza Hut for stepping up to award him the $10k. I hope that Jack uses that money and pays if forward some day.
ron February 21, 2014 at 02:17 pm
They did not let him take a second shot. The ball just took a bounce right back to him so he quickRead More threw up a second shot. The bottom line was he lost and that should have been the end of it. There should have been no whining or complaining. Maybe Pizza Hut should give 10K to all the prior contestants whom lost but at least followd the rules and did not complain.

Common Sense February 29, 2012 at 10:11 pm
Tough loss for the Lady Highlanders and Coach Prosser. Congrats on a good run in the WPIAL PlayoffsRead More and hopefully a few state wins are in the future!

Not that I'm aware of! I'm sticking with Cibik until I hear otherwise.

Way to go Megan (HMS Cheerleader) Friday was Cheerleader and Football Player Recognition Night!Read More Way to Go BHS!! The whole Friday night football event was nice; the band, fans, cheerleaders, and super game!

Hopefully, this is all after getting permission from parents. I know that I'd be peeved if I foundRead More out a hospital was using my newborn for free advertisement of a corporate entity.

Kellen, I am lmao. I did not see your post on my computer when I wrote my theory. Sounds like yourRead More knowledge may prove my theory correct.

Angel definitely need to be drug tested as he is so far out in left field.
Angel October 3, 2013 at 10:13 am
Sorry but I'm not a dude.
Baldwin Dad September 27, 2013 at 09:26 pm
Sounds like a fun event. Robert, how many half court shots are you gong to try?
Robert Edward Healy, III September 28, 2013 at 12:53 am
It really does sound fun. I only need one.
A.J. September 11, 2013 at 10:16 am
I like the part where you raise the flag
Baldwin Dad September 11, 2013 at 10:56 am
Love the Bucs. Wish they would blow out the other team more so I can change the channel before thatRead More annoying phrase.
Robert Edward Healy, III September 18, 2013 at 09:21 pm
Love that phrase!!

Boy, do I love this idea.
Baldwin Dad September 5, 2013 at 02:23 pm
I think it is a great idea as well, and I hope they come up with a location. But to answer yourRead More question, HOME! I like that a local sports team can generate that much excitement, but I enjoy watching games from the comfort of my home.
Tyrion Lannister September 5, 2013 at 04:23 pm
Yinzers can't get enough free entertainment. Just say the word, "free" and you'll haveRead More them lined up around the block. Even though they can watch the game at home for the price of their cable bill. I don't see the appeal of driving someplace to sit in an uncomfortable lawn chair just to watch a glorified tv screen. I'm sure Bob Nutting loves the free publicity though, that's why Mario does it.

I never have and never will understand this country's obsession with HIGH SCHOOL football.
Thomas September 4, 2013 at 06:23 pm
Robert, will the box-score and statistics be provided this year after the game?
Robert Edward Healy, III September 23, 2013 at 09:16 am
@Thomas, I can't guarantee that.

Don't see many win's this season. But good luck to the team.
GOBALDWIN! August 29, 2013 at 11:54 am
If you take the time to write a comment why do you have to squeeze in a negativity??? Once againRead More thanks for supporting our team cc!
cc August 30, 2013 at 06:57 am
GOBALDWIN, I will be supporting our team as I do at every game they play, home and away I will beRead More there. We could of had an awesome Coach in Perry that would of taken our team to more victories. But our school board went with a no experience coach because someone was owed a favor.
