Wallace Building
412-881-1996 (magistrate)
The Wallace Building (formerly Wallace School) is the home of the Borough of Baldwin's public library and district magistrate's office, among many other things. A multipurpose hardwood court is also located in the building, as is an indoor golf room that serves Baldwin-Whitehall interscholastic golfing. The public library hosts a number of book clubs and an even larger number of public events, such as Toddler Story Time! and Baldwin Historical Society meetings. The magistrate's office serves as Baldwin's local court of law, and the indoor hardwood acts as space for a number of local teams' use, such as practice for Baldwin High School's boys and girls varsity indoor track & field teams. The activities in the building are seemingly endless, as even the Baldwin-Whitehall school district's maintenance department calls the building its office home. Berkheimer Tax Administrator also has an office in Wallace. A baseball field and softball field sit nearby, and, very unique and important to this venue, branches of the Easter Seals, National Head Start Association and Project DART all share close quarters here.
