Rain Barrels- Great for the environment – Great for your garden - Great for your water bill!

A rain barrel is a practical and environmentally sound method for controlling storm water, which contributes significantly to sewage overflows, and pollutes our rivers and streams. Attend this workshop and return home equipped with the knowledge and hardware kit needed to assemble and install a rain barrel. Learn how to harvest rainwater from your roof and divert it for on-site use in the landscape. In partnership with the Streets Run Watershed Association and Pennsylvania Resource Council, the library will host a rain barrel workshop on Wednesday,  July 24 at7pm. Registration is required prior to the day of the class, and the first 30 residents will be given a voucher to obtain a complimentary, undecorated rain barrel.
