Animal Friends Presents: Dakota!

He is affectionate, vocal, fine with having his nails trimmed and LOVES to be brushed.

By Animal Friends

Before coming to Animal Friends, Dakota spent almost a month in a foster home. While he was there, he lived with, and liked, 4 other cats. His foster mom even described him as a perfect cat!

Today, he is friendly, curious and an amazingly playful guy. He has even starred in funny videos for Animal Friends! Click here to watch one! You can also watch a video about his personality by clicking here.

He uses his litter box all of the time. But he can't squat to urinate because of some arthritis in his hips, so in his foster home, he had a box with high sides. We'll show you how easy it is to make one from a dollar store plastic container.

Dakota is afraid of the vacuum cleaner, but other than that, he's a very laid back cat. He loves to be petted all over, even his belly. He is affectionate, vocal, is fine with having his nails trimmed and LOVES to be brushed.

His favorite toys are the laser bug and fuzzy mice. He's rather amusing with his fuzzy mice. He always cries when playing with them!

He's a sweet, loyal boy. With just a little bit of attention, he will love and follow you no matter where you go. Dakota is a sweet "no frills, no maintenance" cat.

Dakota does have a medical condition, though: megacolon, a condition which causes constipation. With a good diet-- which you can buy at cost from Animal Friends for the rest of his life-- Dakota plans on loving someone for a long, long time to come. Is that someone you?

Dakota has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or call 412.847.7002. You can also start your application online, so get started by clicking here!
