Allegheny County Transit Council Elects New Officers

Regent Square man tapped for one-year term as president of volunteer transit-riders group.

The Allegheny County Transit Council, which represents the voice of customers to Port Authority of Allegheny County, has elected a man from Pittsburgh's Regent Square neighborhood as its president.

Jim Robinson is the new president of the independent advisory council, a volunteer organization that assesses and brings the concerns of public-transit riders to Port Authority, according to a statement from Port Authority. The council, formed in 1984, also works with Port Authority on transit issues and advocacy.

Council members chose Stuart Strickland of McCandless, PA, as their vice president and Beth Kuntz of Brentwood Borough as their treasurer. Their one-year terms begin July 1, according to Port Authority.
