PHOTOS: Baldwin Manor Park Trail (Summer Edition)

The trail to Union Park is beautiful any time of the year.

Back when the Baldwin-Whitehall Patch published a weekly photo gallery of interesting and/or important images caught around our area, we published  of the beautiful Baldwin Manor Park Trail.

The photos then were taken in February 2011—the dead of winter—but on Monday, B-W Patch editor Bob Healy revisited the trail in the heat of summer to get a different perspective.

Much, indeed, was different—the creek (pronounced "crick," of course) alongside the trail was dry, and there was a lot less white around—but the trail was as beautiful and relaxing as ever.

The Baldwin Manor Park Trail spans the wooded area between the parking lot of the  and the , both on Baptist Road.

The entire trail and the properties that cap it on both ends, despite the "Baldwin" names, are all part of .

Enjoy these summer pics, and if you haven't yet, take some time to enjoy a walk or a bike ride along the Baldwin Manor Park Trail.

I live behind this park and love it except the fact that people that have dogs don't keep their dogs on leashes. I'm scared of dogs because i was bitten before and I have 2 small children and we play in the park a lot. Something needs to be done with the owners of dogs that don't have them on leashes.

There were definitely three dogs walking through there yesterday with their owner. They were not on leashes, but they were small and controllable.

We have lease laws in Baldwin, Baldwin Township and Whitehall but to many people don't like to put their animals on leases even if they are small and controllable. There are many people afraid of dogs and have been bitten.
