Do You Know About Deervue Park?

Enjoy your summer in Baldwin-Whitehall.

Summer's in full swing, and if you have children, you might be looking for a park to take them to during a nice day.

The Baldwin-Whitehall area has plenty of well-known ones—Armstrong Park in Baldwin Township, Snyder Park in Whitehall Borough, the Baldwin Borough Municipal Complex grounds in north Baldwin Borough and Colewood Park in south Baldwin, for starters—but did you know about Baldwin Borough's Deervue Park, as well?

Deervue caught this writer off-guard when he was driving around the borough for a different story a few weeks back.

The park—not coincidentally located along Deervue Drive—almost comes out of nowhere at the end of a residential street in north Baldwin, but it is very well-kept and, like other public parks in Baldwin, operates under the supervision of municipal officials.

The park has a soft surface, four swings (including a baby swing), a slide and a picnic table.

If you haven't yet, enjoy Deervue Park on a sunny day. And enjoy your summer in Baldwin-Whitehall.
