Pittsburgh Penguins Playoffs Rally Set for Wednesday

Fans from Baldwin and Whitehall are invited to an 'Annihilate the Islanders Rally' in downtown Pittsburgh.

Allegheny County officials are planning an "Annihilate the Islanders Rally" on Wednesday, May 1, before the Pittsburgh Penguins' first 2013 playoffs game.

The rally begins at noon in the county courthouse courtyard and includes giveaways from the Penguins and Turner Dairy and an appearance from Iceburgh.

Val Porter from WDVE will host the event, and The Kardasz Brothers will perform live music.

A best-of-seven, first-round Stanley Cup Playoffs series against the New York Islanders begins that night at 7:30 at CONSOL Energy Center.

The Pens won a regular-season series with the Islanders this year, 4-1.
