The Baldwin-Whitehall School Board passed a motion to hire Urmann at a meeting on Wednesday night.

The Baldwin-Whitehall School Board passed a motion, 7-1, on Wednesday night to hire Joseph K. Urmann as the newest head varsity boys basketball coach at an annual salary of $9,549.

Sam DiNardo Jr. was the only board member to vote "no." Fellow board member Diana Kazour was late to the meeting and missed the vote on that motion.

Urmann takes over the program from Kyle DeGregorio, who was removed as head coach by the school board in June .
