HUNTING PHOTOS: 12-Year-Old Baldwin Girl Bags Nine-Point Buck

Ashley Toth's deer's antlers have an estimated 140-inch score and should end up in the state record book.

Father B.J. and daughter Ashley Toth, of , enjoyed a family hunting session in Elizabeth Township in early December, and Ashley, a 12-year-old gymnast and cheerleader, came away with the day's best prize when she dropped a nine-point buck.

The deer's antlers have an estimated 18.5-inch spread and a full 140-inch "green" score.

Ashley's deer is not a state record, but its size should still land it in the state record book.

Absolutely disheartening and very sad that this child picked up a gun and snuffed out the life of a beautiful living, breathing, seeing, hearing, defenseless creature for the thrill of the kill. Why wouldn't you let it live out its life in peace? Isn't that what you would want for yourself and others?

There will be fewer others - deer included too! The reason being is because too much love of oneself instead of love of each other. No greater love than this - A mother protect herself and the soul of the flesh and blood within her body from conception until a natural death. If the source I heard was correct there are 22 ABORTIONS in Allegheny County a day! Parents teach your children about loving at all times. Love is a decision that carries on through good times and in bad and is not easy to do. Lets hope all our chidren will be making future decisions and not choices - YOU CAN NEVER BRING BACK!!! My reply was said in love and not in judgment.
