Baldwin Softball's Anna Lauterbach Accepts Full Scholarship to St. Joseph's

The Highlanders' senior will join the NCAA Division I Hawks in Philadelphia.

's senior softball and basketball player will continue her softball and academic careers at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia next school year.

The 6-foot-2 all-state right-handed pitcher has signed a National Letter of Intent to accept a full athletic scholarship with the Hawks, who play at the NCAA's highest, or Division I, level. The scholarship includes tuition, room and board, books and all fees.

Lauterbach helped Baldwin High to the WPIAL playoffs in both and softball earlier this calendar year. The softball team .

Lauterbach was also a WTAE Action Sports/Clearview Federal Credit Union High School Playbook Student-Athlete of the Week back in April 2010.

Lauterbach hopes to become a special education teacher and pitch in the Women's College World Series for Saint Joseph's.
