2 Chances to Support Baldwin Football This Week

Register for a golf outing by Friday, and join a test-drive event this Sunday.

Baldwin High School's football staff and players are asking for community support this season, and this week brings two opportunities for you to directly support the program.

Golf Outing

Registrations are being accepted through this Friday for the "1st Annual Baldwin Highlanders Football Invitational Golf Outing," to be held at the South Park Golf Course on Saturday, Aug. 3, at noon.

Participation in the event (a four-person scramble) costs $80 per golfer and includes all 18 holes, cart rental, a hot dog and a drink at the turn, and a full dinner. For $40, folks can enjoy dinner only. There are also sponsorship opportunities available for businesses, starting at $50.

Complete the registration form in this article's media gallery and return it with payment to Baldwin Football, 4653 Clairton Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Checks must be made payable to "The Baldwin Football Parents Club."

Test-Drive Event

This Sunday, Baldwin Football is hosting a Ford Drive One 4 UR School fundraising event from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Representatives from Benson Lincoln Mercury will provide vehicles that guests can take a for a test ride, and each ride will result in a $20 donation to the football program (one driver per household, up to $6,000).

Head Coach Peter Wagner Jr. said that the event only requires a "quick, easy test drive" with "no commitment." Wagner also called the event "hassle-free."
