Rain Barrel Workshop

Register now to attend a Rain Barrel Workshop sponsored by the Streets Run Watershed Association, the Pennsylvania Resources Council and the Whitehall Public Library.

What is a Rain Barrel?
A rain barrel is a practical and environmentally sound method for controlling storm water, which contributes significantly to sewage overflows, and pollutes our rivers and streams. Learn how to harvest rainwater from your roof and divert it for on-site use in the landscape. Attend this workshop, and return home equipped with the knowledge and hardware kit needed to assemble and install a rain barrel. Registration is required prior to the day of the class, and the first 15 registrants will be given a voucher to obtain a complementary rain barrel.

Online registration required or call the library at 412-882-6622. Space is limited. Payment ($40.00 per person/kit) is due at the door on the night of class. Checks should be made payable to Pennsylvania Resource Council.
