PHOTOS: Carnival Kicks Off Baldwin's Homecoming Weekend

Baldwin High School hosted its fifth annual Homecoming Carnival on Thursday night.

kicked off its Homecoming celebration with a carnival for students, teachers and family members at Baldwin High Stadium on Thursday night.

More than 30 student organizations hosted booths with food and games that lined the stadium's concourse area. Not only does the carnival, now in its fifth year, serve as a fundraiser for student groups, but it also provides exposure and recruitment opportunities for new members.

Students enjoyed music from DJ Tanner, also known as 1999 Baldwin graduate Angela Joy.

Baldwin's Homecoming celebration continues on Friday night with a cookout on the softball field behind the stadium from 5:30 to 7 p.m. For a $7 donation, students can receive a pre-game meal, a T-shirt and a ticket to the night's varsity football game against Thomas Jefferson High School.

The game was chosen as one of WPXI's Games of the Week. Everyone in the school and the Baldwin-Whitehall community is encouraged to come to the game wearing white, as the game against Thomas Jefferson is being called a
