'Affordably Formal' Collection Continues Through Thursday

The dress consignment event is being hosted by Baldwin High School's senior class.

Representatives of Baldwin High School's senior class will be at the high school's security entrance (facing Route 51) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday for the last two collection days of an "Affordably Formal" dress consignment event.

Students began collecting the dresses (and other formal and semi-formal accessories) in November.

The event is serving as a fundraiser for the senior class, with half of the proceeds from the sale of each collected item being kept by the person who dropped off the item and the other half being kept by the senior class.

All collected items should be clean and free of damages. Those dropping off goods are free to set the prices of their items, but nothing can be priced over $100.

The items will eventually be sold on Feb. 15.
