Next Mt. Lebanon meeting is on Monday, Oct. 24, at 8 p.m.

residents who might be affected by , an approximately 23-acre athletics complex being planned by Mt. Lebanon officials on the Mt. Lebanon-Baldwin Township border, could find an outlet to share their opinions on the park during public meetings of the Mt. Lebanon Commission.

Whether or not non-Mt. Lebanonites are allowed to speak during the citizen-comments time of those meetings "is up to the discretion of the commission president," Mt. Lebanon's Administrative Assistant to the Manager Julie Garraba told the Baldwin-Whitehall Patch in an email on Monday, Oct. 24. "Typically, in the past," Garraba said, "(the commission president) has permitted residents from outside of Mt. Lebanon to speak during citizen comments, which is the time period designated for public comment during the meeting."

Citizens—both from and not from Mt. Lebanon—must sign up on a sheet at the commission chambers in the Mt. Lebanon Municipal Building prior to citizen-comments time in order to be allowed to speak. Citizens will then be called to speak in the order that they signed up, and each speaker will be given five minutes to share his or her thoughts.
