Kalwarski, Shannon and Macek are running for either a two-year or four-year term, but Rosing and Pantuso are running for only a four-year term. Kirsch is running for a two-year term as a Democrat only.

Each of the Baldwin-Whitehall school board candidates has cross-filed to have his or her name appear on both the Democratic and Republican ballots.

The  Council has three seats open for four-year terms, and three current council members – Michael Stelmasczyk, John Ferris and David M. Depretis – will be the only names on the ballot.

Stelmasczyk, Ferris and Depretis are all running for Democratic nominations. No names will appear on the Republican ballot.

The  Board of Commissioners also has three seats open for four-year terms, but only two people (four total) are running for each party's nominations. Susan V. Snyder and current board member Bob Downey are both running for Democratic nominations, while Gary J. Moeller and current board member Nick Pellegrino are running for Republican nominations.

The Council has three seats open for four-year terms as well. Steven J. Polome, Helen Del Sardo and current council members Philip Lahr and Harold Berkoben are seeking Democratic nominations, while Chris A. Mooney, James A. DeGrazia and current council member Robert McKown are running for Republican nominations.

In some cases listed above, the number of nominees per party is equal to or less than the number of seats open. In those cases, the candidates have a better opportunity of securing nominations since only write-in candidates (with enough votes) could capture one of their party's nominations ahead of them.
