Why Do You Want to Be the Mayor of Baldwin Borough?: "I believe the mayor is the face of the community. He needs to be outgoing and visible in the community. He also needs to be able to work with the political leaders of the neighboring communities. I am able to do that. I have shown this by my involvement with various organizations. I volunteered to represent Baldwin Borough on the Economic Development South Board with representatives of Brentwood, Whitehall, Jefferson Hills and the City of Pitsburgh. While on the school board, I was the representative to the Steel Center Vo-Tech School and the Mon Valley School, again dealing with many communities."

What Are the Two or Three Issues Facing Baldwin Borough That You Care the Most About and Plan to Address?: "The major assets of our borough are the following:

  • Police Department - The police department needs to be properly staffed to ensure the safety of all of our residents.
  • Roads - Our roads must be maintained, again, as a safety issue. Infrastructure is important to any community. We must maintain an appropriate road replacement program.
  • Parks & Recreation - Our parks and pool are where the younger families of our community can take their children in a safe environment.
  • Fire Departments - Our volunteer fire departments must be supported and run in the most efficient manner possible to insure our homes.

"All of these things must be done while keeping our taxes low for our senior citizens. I believe there are other funding sources available to help us with these goals. Use our tax dollars to maintain the important issues as opposed to increasing political salaries or travel and seminar costs for our council."

Are You Married? Do You Have Children? If So, How Many?: "I have been married for 28 years to Janice. I have three children, Joe, 27; Ben, 26; and Katie, 24. All of the kids and myself graduated from Baldwin High School."
