"Committee to Build a Better Board" Issues Statement

Kalwarski, Shannon, Kirsch, Macek move on to the November general elections for four-year B-W school board seats.

The made up of Kevin A. Stiffey, Lora J. Kalwarski, Marion M. Shannon, Richard J. Kirsch and Tracy Macek, sought nominations from Baldwin-Whitehall voters in the May 17 primary elections in their search for seats on the Baldwin-Whitehall School Board.

Stiffey, Kalwarski, Shannon, Kirsch and Macek each cross-filed to have his or her name appear on both the Democratic and Republican ballots for four-year board seats. Kalwarski, Shannon and Macek also ran for nominations from both parties to fill a two-year seat, and Kirsch ran for a two-year seat as a Democrat only.

The "Better Board" committee, which advanced four candidates—Kalwarski, Shannon, Kirsch and Macek (for four-year seats only)—to the November general elections for B-W School Board seats answered the Baldwin-Whitehall Patch's request on Monday for its reaction to the primaries.

Kalwarski, who lives on Varner Road in ; Shannon, from Senior Drive in ; and Kirsch, from Benson Circle Drive in Whitehall, each earned  for school board for November's general elections. Macek, who also lives on Senior Drive in Baldwin, was nominated by both parties.
