You are a total clown Barchfield, the day you get elected to any political office is the day I will shave my ass and walk backwards. Go back to your shanty loser.
Tom Barchfeld May 23, 2013 at 12:14 AM
You had better get started, since I got elected to the Whitehall Republican Committee.
Baldwin Dad May 23, 2013 at 12:53 AM
Anyone who thinks differently needs to do their homework.
PghFan May 23, 2013 at 12:56 AM
Robert, do you think you/Patch/PTO could organize some sort of panel discussion or debate for candidates for the fall election? maybe at the high school auditorium. A friend in bethel said that they attended something something similar. It could be school board, borough council, mayor....
Robert Edward Healy, III May 23, 2013 at 01:00 AM
@PghFan, a parent group organized a debate during the previous school board election, but it was very poorly attended.
bd May 23, 2013 at 11:12 AM
Always do my homework, Dad. Your boy did not have the experience necessary for the job. Had not established credentials.
bd May 23, 2013 at 11:16 AM
Robert - As you probably recall, those were not really debates but panel discussions. As you say, few people other than PTA/PTO attended. Candidates did not even have to show up and were still able to be elected. Big waste of time.
Robert Edward Healy, III May 23, 2013 at 03:16 PM
Right. It wasn't much of a debate when no one from the other campaign showed up.
Purple Power May 23, 2013 at 04:36 PM
Clearly the better man for the job won and the better council candidates too. Shake off the loss and move on, that's what real champions do!
Purple Power May 23, 2013 at 04:45 PM
Amen to that. Let the crying begin, bottom line is all who won nominations are hands down better than Barchfeld. Look out though old Tom is trying to threaten everyone that the Whitehall Republicans are going to become a tremedous force in the November school election despite being outnumbered by more than 2 to 1. Onward to victory in November for Karen Brown, Dave Solenday, Elliot Rambo and Martin Schmotzer.
Sean Duggan May 23, 2013 at 04:49 PM
Just as a general thing, can people avoid attacking candidates in the comments? I'm sure not everyone likes them — they're politicians, after all, one of the lowest lifeforms (obvious joke here for the sarcasm-impaired) — but the insults are childish. I salute all of the people brave enough to throw their hat in the ring.
Baldwin Dad May 23, 2013 at 05:12 PM
Robert, how can there be more than one account with Baldwin Dad as the profile name? The ONLY comment I made on this thread was the first one that referenced the popcorn. The subsequent posts from Baldwin Dad were not from me.
Robert Edward Healy, III May 23, 2013 at 05:41 PM
It has happened before. You could always change your username.
Tom Barchfeld May 23, 2013 at 06:10 PM
The other candidates were able to to have more people vote for them. I was not able get my message out to everyone. I have threatened no one Purple Power. Marty Schmotzer always says he can not be intimidated for some reason. Why is he so defensive?
Tom Barchfeld May 23, 2013 at 06:12 PM
Plus, I support Karen Brown and David Solenday.
Baldwin Dad May 24, 2013 at 04:40 AM
Done, but really sucks that I had to. Would be nice of your site didn't allow duplicate usernames.
Robert Edward Healy, III May 24, 2013 at 04:45 AM
Thanks, South Baldwin Dad.
B&W95 May 24, 2013 at 04:36 PM
Trying to understand this Schmotzer thing. If I went to South Hills Village and stole a car from the parking lot, then drove around for say 5 hours, then took the car back to the village and left a few dollars on the seat for gas, then I would NOT be a car thief because I returned it? Humm!?
bd May 24, 2013 at 05:11 PM
B&W - Better yet he claims he is innocent yet he paid the money back with interest. Hmmm. So, I suppose the County Clerk of Courts office at the time was giving out loans? Hmmm.
Margaret French May 25, 2013 at 02:49 AM
Just like there is two Franks. One "frank" and one "Frank" (with a capital F)
cc May 25, 2013 at 01:53 PM
I hope Marty does not get back on the school board. If Rambo gets in, he will just resign so Marty can have his seat back. Seen this before and will continue till everyone votes out Marty and his puppets.
bd May 25, 2013 at 09:24 PM
Schmotzer is as good as in right now. He will be on both sides of the ballot (D and R) in November along with Brown and Solenday. Those 3 are all but assured on \f victory. The race is now between Marty's protege, Rambo, on the Democrat side of the ballot vs Crowder on the Republican side. Since the D's outnumber the R's in the school district, it appears that Crowder will not be re-elected.
Ned Hardt May 25, 2013 at 09:45 PM
Good to know that South Baldwin Dad is our ORIGINAL Baldwin Dad. And I am still NED, but with a new handle here, on advise of my lawyers (nothing that needs be discussed here, they just want my name on certain communications rather than the nickname I'd used for years here and elsewhere). So we're both new and improved!
cc May 26, 2013 at 01:47 PM
bd i am hoping that more democrats come out and support Crowder, as she is one that doesn't do what Marty says. He needs to go along with his puppets.
patch May 26, 2013 at 03:51 PM
Cc you are stupid
Robert Edward Healy, III May 26, 2013 at 04:12 PM
Please be cordial to one another, folks. As a point of clarification, the user "patch" does not work for Patch.
cc May 26, 2013 at 04:14 PM
patch lol you way to funny as that can also be said about you.
cc May 26, 2013 at 04:23 PM
Robert it is so easy to figure out who "patch" is.
20 Year Resident of Baldwin/Whitehall May 29, 2013 at 04:06 PM
Bob, thanks for explaining the process to everyone here. It is helpful when everyone understands WHY they are voting and that it doesn't end with this vote. Truly, if there were more exposure to the process, the candidates, and any upcoming events, I think there would be a better response to local elections. Thanks for doing your part to bring about that exposure.
Robert Edward Healy, III May 29, 2013 at 04:19 PM
Our pleasure.
