Assault, Harassment and Disorderly Conduct Charges

Whitehall Borough police officers went to a bus stop near the intersection of Radford and East Willock roads at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday in response to a call from someone who witnessed a disturbance there, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said.

The witness, who wished to remain anonymous, said that a man was assaulting a woman. When officers went to the scene, they located the man and woman and detained the believed aggressor—Nuwrul Dyin Johnson, 25, of Richardson Avenue in Pittsburgh's Brighton Heights neighborhood.

A resident from the 1800 block of Parkline Drive in Whitehall's Wallace (Prospect) Park area notified police on Monday at around 4:30 p.m. that the rear window of one of his vehicles there had been smashed out, apparently by a rock, Dolfi said.

The victim said that he last saw the vehicle intact when he left for work in his other vehicle during the early morning hours of that day, but when he returned at around 4:30, he noticed the damage.

Both vehicles were parked near dumpsters in the back corner of the resident's apartments building.

The victim is still trying to determine the cost to repair the window. Dolfi said that the incident is under investigation.

Officers Find Juvenile Violating Home Monitoring

Whitehall police received a fax from the Allegheny County Courts' Civil/Family Division at around 4:20 p.m. on Sunday that a juvenile on electronic home monitoring had violated the provisions of his monitoring by heading to the Prospect Park area.

Officers went to Prospect, and a short time later, made contact with the juvenile, Dolfi said. He was taken into custody, brought to the Whitehall police station and picked up by representatives from the county sheriff's office at around 5:40 p.m.
