Whitehall Man Arrested for DUI in Baldwin Boro
And a Mount Washington woman is arrested for the same thing.
Whitehall Man Arrested
A Baldwin Borough police officer stopped motorist Thomas Edward Brannan, 63, of Sherwood Drive in Whitehall Borough, in the Brownsville Plaza parking lot at around 3:40 a.m. on Nov. 17 for erratic driving, according to a police report.
The officer tried to pull Brannan over in the 100 block of Knoedler Road, he reported, but Brannan drove over a sidewalk and a grassy area in front of the south Baldwin shopping center before stopping in front of Dave's Terrace Bakery.

The officer smelled alcohol upon approaching Brannan and reported that Brannan admitted to recently drinking alcohol. Brannan also failed field-sobriety and breath-analyzer tests before being arrested and taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for a blood test (results pending).
He was eventually taken home and released and is being charged with suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Mount Washington Woman Arrested
A Baldwin Borough police officer stopped motorist Stephanie Gonsar, 36, of Harwood Street in Pittsburgh's Mount Washington neighborhood, in The Chesapeake parking lot along Streets Run Road at around 12:55 a.m. on Friday for erratic driving, according to a police report.
The officer smelled alcohol upon approaching Gonsar and reported that Gonsar admitted to recently drinking alcohol. Gonsar also failed field-sobriety and breath-analyzer tests before being arrested and taken to the Baldwin police station.
While at the station, she failed two more breath-analyzer tests before eventually being taken to a residence on Quaker Drive in South Park Township and released to the custody of a friend.
She is being charged with suspicion of DUI.
