Whitehall Borough Police Briefs (Nov. 29-Dec. 5)

An underage drinking incident at Baldwin High, officers use surveillance footage to nab two other suspects, and more.

Unfriendly Neighbor

Two residents of an apartment in the 1600 block of Skyline Drive in the area were gone from their residence on Nov. 28 and 29, and when they returned at around 7:27 p.m. on Nov. 30, they discovered that someone had tampered with the entrance to their apartment.

officers reported to the scene shortly later to begin an investigation. Officers learned that many things were missing from the apartment, including gift cards, jewelry and some documents with personal information on them.

Soon after, Whitehall officers, as part of an investigation that included surveillance video from , reported that Christopher Carr, 39, of 1691 Skyline, Apt. 7 (the same apartment building as the victims'), tried to use items taken from the victims' apartment.

The Whitehall police have not yet charged Carr with burglary, but they are charging him with receiving stolen property and forgery.

Update on Stolen Wallet from Eat'n Park

police have been investigating an incident involving a  at the  on Route 51 since Nov. 14.

A customer there accidentally left his wallet at the counter while paying his bill that day, and when he returned to the counter, the wallet was missing.

Whitehall police officers have worked with the restaurant's staff, viewed surveillance video and, on Dec. 2, charged Ryan Devine, 29, of 3831 Delco Road in Brentwood Borough, with theft and receiving stolen property.

Underage Drinking Suspects at Baldwin High Tennis Courts

A security guard at called the Whitehall Police Department at around 3:49 a.m. on Dec. 4 to report suspicious activity at the Baldwin High tennis courts.

Whitehall police officers arrived at the scene and reported discovering two teenage boys, ages 16 and 17, with open alcoholic beverages there.

The boys were taken home to their parents, and both of them will receive citations for underage drinking.

ID Theft

A resident from the 1100 block of Prospect Road contacted Whitehall police officers at around 12:23 p.m. on Dec. 1 to report fraudulent activity on his bank account.

The victim said that two transactions, one for $604 and the other for $580, occurred on Nov. 29. The victim is able to prove that he did not authorize the transactions.

Dollar Bank officials have taken over the investigation.
