Whitehall Borough Police Briefs (Jan. 31-Feb. 14)

Cell-phones theft at Premier Gym & Cheer and burglary at Stilley Road home are reported.

The Baldwin-Whitehall Patch spoke with  Deputy Chief Richard M. Danko on Tuesday, Feb. 15, to gather the 's police briefs for the time period of Jan. 31-Feb. 14. Chief Donald R. Dolfi was unavailable.

Danko reported two incidents of theft for that time period.

On Feb. 8, Whitehall Police responded to a call that two cell phones had been stolen from storage bins at on Route 51 (4638 Clairton Blvd.).

Danko said that those storage bins are places where students who use Premier Gym typically keep personal belongings while they use the gymnastics and cheerleading facility.

On Feb. 9, Whitehall Police responded to a burglary call at a home in the 4400 block of Stilley Road.

"Someone entered the home and removed some jewelry and some cash," Danko said.

The exact time of the alleged burglary on Stilley is unknown, though Danko said that Whitehall Police reported to the scene at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 9 after a resident of the home noticed items missing upon returning from work that day.

Investigations for both incidents are ongoing.
