Whitehall Borough Police Briefs (April 12-18): Drugs, Unconscious Woman Found at Route 51 Eat'n Park

Also, police charge two Elizabeth-area residents with possession of a controlled substance on Skyline Drive.

Drugs, Unconscious Woman Found at Route 51 Eat’n Park

On April 17 at approximately 3:45 p.m., Whitehall Borough police officers and respondents from  reported to the  after receiving a call about an unconscious woman in the ladies bathroom there.

According to the ’s report, the woman—Lauren Marie Curtain, 28, of 238 Parkwood Circle in —was treated by medics at Eat’n Park before being taken to nearby Jefferson Regional Medical Center .

Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said that drug packaging—“possibly heroin”—was found on the floor near Curtain. Whitehall police are charging Curtain with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.

Dolfi said that Curtain left Eat’n Park in “stable” condition.

Drugs on Skyline Drive

On April 13 at approximately 9:06 a.m., a Whitehall police officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving on Skyline Drive in . Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer reported detecting an odor of a controlled substance coming from it.

The officer also reported seeing a marijuana pipe in plain view inside the vehicle and charged two of its five passengers—Daniel Joseph Gardner, 25, of 422 Third St. in Elizabeth Borough , and Laura Ann Griffith, 20, of 312 Scott St. in Elizabeth Township—with possession of a controlled substance.

Damaged Hot Tub Cover

On April 17 at approximately 7:46 p.m., Whitehall police reported to the borough’s 4000 block of Prospect Road after receiving a call from residents there claiming that the cover of their hot tub was damaged while they were on vacation.

The residents said that they left for vacation on April 7 and returned home on April 17, according to the police report. The value of the hot tub cover, which had several holes in it, was $200.

Police are investigating the incident.
