Virginia-Based Earthquake Felt Around Pittsburgh Area
A 5.9-magnitude quake affected residents around Baldwin-Whitehall and Brentwood Borough.
A 5.9-magnitude earthquake that originated in Virginia was felt by residents around the Pittsburgh area on Tuesday at approximately 1:50 to 1:55 p.m.
No major damage or injuries around Pittsburgh related to the earthquake have been reported as of 2:27 p.m.
The reported calls from two residents in the area of who said that their homes were shaking.

A representative from the said that its police station on Churchview Avenue in north was shaking, and Baldwin-Whitehall Patch food critic Roseann Vamos said that her office on Route 51 in south Baldwin was also vibrating.
Jeff Healy, B-W Patch photographer, reported that his house was shaking in nearby Brentwood Borough, as well.

No reports of shaking have come from yet. A representative from the in that township said that workers there did not feel anything.
