Velgich, Teahan, Davis Given 18 Months of ARD for South Hills C.C. Break-Ins

Charges will be dismissed if the men complete the ARD program.

Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Robert C. Gallo has given three men charged in connection with  at the  a chance to clean their records.

Anthony Joseph Velgich, 19, of 5220 Gerry Drive in ; Mark Benjamin Teahan, 20, of 5611 Sixth St. in Baldwin Borough; and Tyler Brandon Davis, 19, of 4796 Oakridge Drive in  were each granted an accelerated rehabilitative disposition (ARD) hearing before Gallo in December, and the judge sentenced all three of them to an 18-month ARD program.

ARD programs, typically used for first-time offenders, give defendants a chance to have charges against them dropped should they complete the programs successfully. The programs typically call for the defendants to complete community service, restitution and/or other actions.

Velgich and Teahan were both originally charged by the  in March 2011—nearly a year after the incidents—with three counts each of burglary, criminal conspiracy, theft and criminal trespass in connection with three break-ins at the Whitehall club, but their burglary charges .

Davis, originally charged with one count each of burglary, criminal conspiracy, theft and receiving stolen property in connection with one break-in, eventually had his .
