Two BHS Students Linked to Burglary on Flamingo Drive

Burglary on Flamingo Drive

Residents from the 4800 block of 's Flamingo Drive called the on Monday, Dec. 19, at around 12:17 p.m. to report a burglary there. The residents said that cash and electronics were recently taken from their home.

Whitehall police officers responded to Flamingo Drive, searched the area and interviewed neighbors. Officers on patrol earlier that day reported seeing two juvenile males walking around the area.

After establishing descriptions of those two males, the Whitehall police spoke to officials from nearby , who said that two males who fit those descriptions were sent home from the high school earlier that day.

Whitehall officers obtained a search warrant from District Magistrate David J. Barton and went to the home of the two boys, who are brothers, in .

With assistance from the , the Whitehall police entered the boys' apartment and reported finding items taken from the burglarized home on Flamingo.

Police are preparing juvenile court allegations against the boys.

Tire Slashings at Maiden Bridge Apartments

A married couple who live at the  came to the Whitehall Borough police station at around 2:41 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, to report that they have had a tire on their vehicle slashed or punctured five times while parked in the apartments complex since September.

The husband said that he may know who is responsible, as he provided the Whitehall police with the description of a man whom he had a run-in with in late September.

The husband, 81, said that the man is older in appearance but younger than him. The man is about 6-foot-2, white, and has salt-and-pepper hair and an athletic build. The husband said that, shortly after a disagreement with that man, he noticed that both of his rear tires had been slashed.

The Whitehall police are working with Maiden Bridge officials and are asking for any help in finding the tire slasher(s). If you have information related to the case, call 412-884-1100.

Arrest from Burglary on Parkline Drive

A resident from the 1800 block of Parkline Drive in the area contacted the Whitehall police at around 1:58 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, to report that a man had just left a home there after having illegally entered it. The residents encountered the man in their second floor office and reported recognizing him as a neighbor.

After the man left the home, the residents provided a police officer with his description. The officer was aware of that man and went to his address, but the man was not there.

Police continued to search for the man—Stephen Michael Fazio, 29, of 1826 Parkline—and eventually found him on Friday, Dec. 16, when he was arrested and charged with burglary and criminal trespass. UPDATE: The burglary charge was .

Disorderly Conduct on Skyline Drive

A resident from the 1700 block of Skyline Drive in the Prospect Park area contacted the Whitehall Police Department at around 2:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, to report a disturbance coming from an above apartment, including loud noises, stomping and vulgar speech.

Whitehall police officers went to the scene and reported hearing loud noises and profanity coming from the apartment in question. The officers cited a man inside that apartment—Lennell Hines, 20, of 1725 Skyline, Apt. 37—with disorderly conduct.

ID Theft

A resident from the 4600 block of Wilburke Avenue contacted the Whitehall police at around 4:07 p.m. on Wednesday to report that she was a victim of fraud.

The resident said that her PNC Bank/Visa debit card had been charged with $470.40 worth of unauthorized purchases from Walmart.com.

The incident is being investigated by PNC and Wal-Mart officials.

Update on November Burglary on Skyline Drive

The Whitehall police have now made two arrests stemming from .

As police have been investigating the incident involving stolen gift cards, jewelry and some documents with personal information on them, enough evidence has been developed to arrest both Christopher Carr, 39, of 1691 Skyline, Apt. 7 (the same apartment building as the victims'), and Lisa Marie Victorelli, 39, of 1691 Skyline, Apt. 6.

Carr was arrested on Friday, Dec. 2, and has been charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and forgery. Victorelli was arrested on Friday, Dec. 9, and charged with forgery, criminal conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance. UPDATES: Carr's criminal mischief charge was . That is really sickening that two brothers would pair up and steal from others. What is wrong with some of these kids? Where are their parents! Throw the book at them and prevent them from hurting others!

The family hopefully will be evicted from Green Ghettos, at least that was supposed to be the rule when criminal activity occured with residents there.

You really expect their parents to care, the parents are probable 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation of Welfare and are just following in their foot prints. It is a shame that these kids have parents that aren't there to give their children a good upbringing.
