Three Juveniles Attempt to Mug a Pair of Men in Whitehall

Three juveniles are being questioned by Whitehall Borough police officers regarding their believed involvement in the attempted mugging of two men on Radford Road on Monday night.

Officers went to the front of the apartments building at 1550 Radford in the Wallace (Prospect) Park area at around 10:30 that night to find the two victims, who said that three boys had recently accosted them there and demanded their wallets, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said.

One of the victims had a swollen lip and blood inside of his mouth.

The victims told police that they were leaving the nearby 7-Eleven when the boys approached them and asked for the wallets, but the men said that they did not have any money on them.

The wounded victim told police that, at that point, he was struck in the face and torso multiple times by one of the boys.

The victim did not need medical attention, Dolfi said, and the boys did not use any weapons to inflict harm. And no belongings were actually stolen.

Police have been able to identify all three suspects and are conducting an investigation regarding their believed involvement in the attempted mugging.
