Suspected Heroin Found on Two Minors on Vernon Avenue in Baldwin

Teens briefly evaded police.

have arrested two teenagers and sent them to Allegheny County's Shuman Juvenile Detention Center on multiple drug charges after the youths briefly evaded a traffic stop in north  on Monday morning.

The teens—a male and female—eventually stopped in the 3100 block of Vernon Avenue shortly after midnight, where police reported that the male driver was intoxicated.

A search of the vehicle turned up what is suspected to be heroin, Baldwin police Chief Michael Scott said.

Both teens are being charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, and the male is being charged with driving while intoxicated.
