South Hills Woman Wanted for Fraud, Thefts

Amanda Krull, 23, is known to frequent Whitehall, Brentwood, Carrick and Brookline.

Pittsburgh police and other local law agencies are looking for a South Hills woman accused of theft and writing bad checks. And her name may be very familiar to Baldwin-Whitehall folks.

Amanda Krull, 23, who, while a Brentwood Borough resident in April, was charged by Whitehall Borough police with one count each of theft by deception, prohibited acts in charitable solicitation and soliciting without a permit, is currently wanted by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, West Mifflin Borough police and the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office.

According to a report by Pittsburgh police Zone 6 detectives, Krull has multiple prior arrests for theft-related crimes, including going door-to-door to collect money for a fake charity, as was the case in Whitehall. Police said that she also has been known to use fraudulent checks to scam victims who are using an ATM.

Krull's current address is unknown, but she is known to frequent Whitehall and Brentwood and the Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Carrick, Brookline and Sheraden.

Anyone with information regarding Krull's whereabouts is asked to call 911. Callers may remain anonymous.
