Sandusky Found Guilty

The former Penn State assistant football coach was found guilty on 45 of 48 counts.

Former Penn State University assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky was led from the Centre County Courthouse in handcuffs on Friday night after being found guilty on 45 of 48 counts of child sex abuse.

The Centre Daily Times, WPXI, The Huffington Post and numerous other local and national news organizations reported the news within minutes of the verdict's release.

TV footage of the courthouse showed a crowd outside cheering when the verdict was made public just after 10 p.m.

A sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled, according to this report from the Centre Daily Times.
