Results from Magisterial District Court 05-2-18

Judge Bova's jurisdiction includes Baldwin Borough.

The following results are from recent hearings held in the  office of Magistrate John N. Bova of District Court 05-2-18:

 

  • charged Patricia Rose, 53, of 458 Charlotte Dr. in Baldwin, with local ordinance violations of prohibited occupancy, structure unfit for human occupancy and unsafe structures after sheltering what is believed to be around in August and September. Rose faced those charges before Bova on Dec. 15, was found guilty and was fined approximately $5,000.

  • police charged Daniella Cracco, 23, of 3262 Beechdale St. in Brentwood Borough, with on Dec. 24. Cracco's March 13 hearing before Bova was waived, and she will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on May 1.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Thomas Jeffrey Kerber, 23, of 1800 Patrick Pl., Apt. 112, in South Park Township, with  on Nov. 28. Kerber's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 21. He was granted an accelerated rehabilitative disposition (ARD) hearing to begin on March 23.

  • Baldwin police charged Robert Alan Gneuhs, 68, of 5272 Keeport Dr., Apt. 6, in Baldwin's , with on Jan. 8. The careless driving charge was withdrawn on Feb. 21, but Gneuhs will face the remaining charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 9.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Glenn L. Carter, 43, of 333 Linnview Ave. in Pittsburgh's Carrick neighborhood, with  on Dec. 6. The possession of drug paraphernalia charge was , but Carter faced the DUI charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 21. His case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for April 9. That conference should result in the next legal step for Carter's DUI charge. UPDATE: Rescheduled for Sept. 17.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Alexander Xavier Carroll, 21, of 501 2nd St. in Monongahela, with  on Sept. 14. Carroll's , and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Jan. 12. Carroll was granted an ARD hearing to begin on Feb. 24 and was sentenced to 12 months of probation for the DUI charge. Also a result of the ARD hearing, the other charges were dismissed.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Nina Marie Demus, 30, of 5359 Youngridge Dr., Apt. 5, in the Leland Point Apartments complex, with  on July 9. Demus' , and she faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 30. Demus was granted , but that ARD hearing was canceled for her to be . Her case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for April 10. That conference should result in the next legal step for Demus' charges. UPDATE: Rescheduled for July 9.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Matthew Joseph Madden, 19, of 1223 McClure Ave., Apt. 1, in East McKeesport Borough, with on Jan. 17. Madden's March 6 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 20.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Patrick McCormick, 22, of 907 Elmwood St. in Port Vue Borough, with on Jan. 21. McCormick's March 6 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 20.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Keith John Wallace, 46, of 4700 Doverdell Dr. in , with  on Oct. 30. Wallace's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Jan. 25. His case was then part of a . Wallace pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a 90-day individualized program plan and 18 months of probation.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Michael Ryan Hawkins, 31, of 3266 Ward St., Apt. 2, in Pittsburgh's South Oakland neighborhood, with  on Sept. 11. The charges of failure to drive on a roadway laned for traffic and driving on a sidewalk were , but Hawkins faced the remaining charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Jan. 12. His case was then part of a . Hawkins pleaded guilty to the DUI charge and was sentenced to a 90-day individualized program plan and 18 months of probation, and the failure to obey traffic-control devices charge was withdrawn, as well.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Robert Hofmann, 38, of 1344 Clara St. in Castle Shannon Borough, with  on Sept. 7. Hofmann's , and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Jan. 12. Hofmann was granted an to begin on March 9. The charge of failure to signal before turning was withdrawn as a result of the ARD hearing, but Hofmann was sentenced to 12 months of probation for the DUI charge.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Samantha Eli Kowel-Vold, 18, of 209 E. Willock Road in Brentwood, with  on Aug. 11. Kowel-Vold's , and she faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Jan. 13. Kowel-Vold was granted an to begin on March 9. The charge of failure to obey a stop sign was withdrawn as a result of the ARD hearing, but Kowel-Vold was sentenced to 12 months of probation for the DUI charge.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Kimberly Ann Johnson, 27, of 324 Glencoe Drive in West Mifflin Borough, with  on Dec. 15. The charges of careless driving, driving with a suspended vehicle registration and driving without car insurance were , but Johnson faced the DUI charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 12. Her case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for April 25. That conference should result in the next legal step for Johnson's DUI charge.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Corey Hawkins, 26, of 3728 Churchview Ave. in Baldwin, with on Jan. 7. Hawkins' March 13 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on May 1.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Yvonne Vukovcan, 46, of 929 Monroe Ave. in Port Vue, with  on Sept. 30. Vukovcan's , and she faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 8. She had a  and will now face a non-jury trial to begin on June 7. UPDATE: Rescheduled for Oct. 1.

 

  • Baldwin police charged John Scott Lion, 42, of 1679 Village Green Dr. in the Heritage Hills complex of Jefferson Hills Borough, with  on Dec. 2. Lion's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 19. His case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for May 2. That conference should result in the next legal step for Lion's charge.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Raymond Martin Matelan, 52, of 1069 Old Hills Rd. in Elizabeth Township, with  on Oct. 6. Matelan's , and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 19. His case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for May 2. That conference should result in the next legal step for Matelan's charges. UPDATE: Rescheduled for July 10.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Hailey Lynne Wootton, 18, of 5470 Youngridge, Apt. 6, in the Leland Point Apartments complex, with on Jan. 17. Wootton pleaded guilty in front of Bova on Feb. 27 and was fined approximately $450.
