Results from Magisterial District Court 05-2-18

Judge Bova's jurisdiction includes Baldwin Borough.

The following results are from recent hearings held in the  office of Magistrate John N. Bova of District Court 05-2-18:

 

  •  charged Matthew Joseph Madden, 19, of McClure Avenue in East McKeesport Borough, with  on Jan. 17. Madden's March 6 hearing before Bova was waived, and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 20. He was granted an accelerated rehabilitative disposition (ARD) hearing to begin on June 29.

  • Baldwin police charged Brandon S. Marlatt, 24, of Doyle Road in Baldwin's Kensington Terrace Apartments complex, with  on March 9. Marlatt faced that charge at a May 1 hearing before Bova, and the charge was held for Allegheny County Court, where Marlatt appeared on June 19. He was granted an ARD hearing to begin on July 13.

 

  • Baldwin police charged John Scott Lion, 42, of Village Green Drive in the Heritage Hills complex of Jefferson Hills Borough, with  on Dec. 2. Lion's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 19. His case was then part of a , and that conference resulted in a guilty plea. Lion was sentenced to complete a 90-day individualized program plan and 18 months of probation. He was also fined $1,500.

  • Baldwin police charged Sheena Boulding, 29, of Hall Street in Aliquippa, with  on Dec. 17. Boulding's , and she faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse May 4. Her case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for Aug. 27. That conference should result in the next legal step for Boulding's charges.

 

  • Baldwin police charged James John Tapocik Jr., 23, of Burbridge Street in Port Vue Borough, with  on Oct. 15. Tapocik's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 27. Tapocik was granted an , but that hearing was canceled and replaced by another county courthouse arraignment, which was . His case then headed for a docket conference on June 18. Tapocik pled guilty at that conference and was sentenced to four days of confinement.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Garrett Paul Haluska, 25, of Saint Leo Street in Pittsburgh's South Side Slopes neighborhood, with on Feb. 23. Haluska's May 8 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on June 22. (UPDATE: Rescheduled for Aug. 6.)

 

  • Baldwin police charged Alisha Naomie Symcheck, 30, of Mowery Lane in Deemston Borough, with on March 4. Symcheck's May 8 hearing before Bova was waived, and she will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on June 22. (UPDATE: Rescheduled for July 31.)

 

  • Baldwin police charged Kathreen Ann Knoebel, 30, of Woodside Drive in Irwin Borough, with on March 8. Knoebel's May 8 hearing before Bova was waived, and she will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on June 22.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Jason Edward Stevens, 33, of Squires Manor Lane in South Park Township, with  on Feb. 5. Stevens' , and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on May 8. His case was then part of a docket conference scheduled for June 13, and that conference resulted in a guilty plea for the DUI charge. The remaining charges were withdrawn. Stevens was sentenced to complete a 30-day individualized program plan and six months of probation.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Susan House, 29, of Hartman Street in McKeesport, with on March 14. House's May 15 hearing before Bova was waived, and she will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on June 29.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Andrea M. Vennare, 23, of Albany Street in Pittsburgh's Ridgemont neighborhood, with on March 17. Vennare's May 15 hearing before Bova was waived, and she will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on June 29. (UPDATE: Rescheduled for Aug. 1.)

 

  • Baldwin police charged David Joseph Connell, 23, of Tracy Drive in Bethel Park, with  on Nov. 17. Connell's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 26. Connell was granted an , and he entered a six-month ARD program. Should Connell complete the program, his charge will be dismissed.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Carlie Marie Dudich, 19, of Clover Street in the South Side area, with  on Nov. 7. Dudich's , and she faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 5. Her case was then part of a , and that conference resulted in a guilty plea for the DUI charge. The remaining charges were withdrawn. Dudich was sentenced to complete a 90-day individualized program plan and 18 months of probation. She was also fined $2,500.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Thomas Paul Englert, 63, of Provost Road in , with on March 31. Englert's May 22 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on July 9.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Matthew P. Braddock, 29, of Youngridge Drive in Baldwin's , with on March 31. Braddock's May 22 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on July 9.

 

  • Baldwin police charged George Ronald Marszalek, 44, of Maytide Street in Pittsburgh's Carrick neighborhood, with on April 1. Marszalek's May 22 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on July 9.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Corey Hawkins, 26, of Churchview Avenue in , with  on Jan. 7. Hawkins' , and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on May 1. His case was then part of a , and that conference resulted in a guilty plea for the DUI charge. The careless driving charge was withdrawn. Hawkins was sentenced to complete a 90-day individualized program plan and 18 months of probation. He was also fined $1,500.

 

  • Baldwin police charged William Alexander Warnock, 35, of Wayside Street in Carrick, with on April 14. Warnock's June 12 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on July 27.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Zachary Buck Mallow, 21, of 7th Avenue in Carnegie Borough, with on April 14. Mallow's June 12 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on July 27.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Patrick McCormick, 22, of Elmwood Street in Port Vue, with  on Jan. 21. McCormick's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 20. McCormick was granted an , and he entered a six-month ARD program. Should McCormick complete the program, his charge will be dismissed.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Mathew Keith DeFelice, 24, of Grandview Avenue in McKeesport, with on March 18. DeFelice's June 19 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Aug. 2.

 

  • Baldwin police charged Branko Bradaric, 47, of East Willock Road in Baldwin Borough, with on April 15. Bradaric's June 19 hearing before Bova was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Aug. 2.
