Results from Magisterial District Court 05-2-17

Judge Barton's jurisdiction includes Whitehall Borough and Baldwin Township.

The following results are from recent hearings held in the  office of Magistrate David J. Barton of District Court 05-2-17:

 

  •  charged William Salerno, 37, of 200 Sunny Dr. in , with  on Aug. 23. After completing anger management classes at the Domestic OutReach Center, Salerno . His charges were dismissed.

  • police charged Christopher Carr, 39, of 1691 Skyline Dr., Apt. 7, in Whitehall's area, with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and forgery and Lisa Marie Victorelli, 39, of 1691 Skyline, Apt. 6, with forgery, criminal conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance, all stemming from . Carr's criminal mischief charge was , but his remaining charges were all waived for court. He  and moved on to a , where he was scheduled for a non-jury trial to begin on May 22 (UPDATE: Continued to July 10). Victorelli's , and she faced her charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 19. She will now have a May 11 pretrial conference.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Brian Fields, 34, of 131 Merritt Ave. in Pittsburgh's Carrick neighborhood, with on Jan. 4. Barton withdrew that charge on March 20.

  • Whitehall police charged Melvin Augustino Dias, 25, of 407 Russellwood Ave. in McKees Rocks Borough, with  on Jan. 6. Dias' , and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 26. He will now have a pretrial conference on April 27.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Rayshon Shields, 19, of 69 Harwood St. in Pittsburgh's Allentown neighborhood, with  on Oct. 10. Barton , and Shields faced a Dec. 14 hearing at the Allegheny County Courthouse. Shields then faced a , where it was determined that he would have a . Shields pled guilty to his charges at that trial and was sentenced to 172 days of time already served in confinement and two years of probation.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Stephen Michael Fazio, 29, of 1826 Parkline Dr. in the Prospect Park area, with  on Dec. 16. , and Fazio faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 21. He then had a , where he was scheduled for a non-jury trial to begin on June 11.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Janet Lynn Peters, 32, of 2117 Brownsville Rd., Apt. 35B, in Carrick, with on Feb. 21. Barton withdrew those charges on April 3.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Nathan Vincent Contosta, 32, of 238 Cedar St. in Baldwin Borough, with  on Nov. 15. , and Contosta faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 5. He will now have a pretrial conference on May 11.

 

  • Whitehall police charged James Pierre Scott Jr., 22, of 2155 Elmore Sq. in Pittsburgh's Terrace Village neighborhood, with on March 3. Barton withdrew that charge on April 17.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Zachary Mielcarek, 19, of 1701 Parkline Dr., Apt. 12, in the Prospect Park area, with  on Aug. 20. Mielcarek's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Jan. 11. Mielcarek then faced a , where it was determined that he would have a . Mielcarek pled guilty to his charge at that trial and was sentenced to eight months of probation.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Matthew Russell Kim, 24, of 223 Augusta St. in Pittsburgh's Mount Washington neighborhood, with  on April 8. Kim's April 17 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on June 5.

 

  •  charged Christina Macsurak, 36, of Perri Drive in , with  on Dec. 14. Macsurak's March 20 hearing before Barton was waived, and she will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on May 8.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Hubert Walko, 43, of Saranac Avenue in Pittsburgh's Beechview neighborhood, with on Feb. 5. Walko's March 20 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on May 8.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged George Tilley, 53, of Royal Oak Road in Scott Township, with on Feb. 4. Tilley's March 27 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on May 15.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Jennifer Irwin, 31, of McRoberts Road in Castle Shannon Borough, with  on Sept. 24. Irwin's , and she faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 8. Her case was then part of a . Irwin pled guilty during that conference and was sentenced to six months of probation.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Scott Crawford, 42, of Mississippi Avenue in Dormont Borough, with  after Crawford crashed his vehicle into a utility pole on Dewalt Drive on Aug. 12. Crawford's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 9. Crawford was granted an  to begin on April 5. He was sentenced to 12 months of probation.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Jared McKee, 26, of Mattern Avenue in Dormont, with  on Dec. 11. McKee's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 9. His case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for May 22. That conference should result in the next legal step for McKee's charge.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Brandon Bostocky, 34, of Bristol Street on the border of Pittsburgh's Hazelwood and Greenfield neighborhoods, with  on Jan. 4. Bostocky's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Couthouse on April 9. His case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for May 9. That conference should result in the next legal step for Bostocky's charge.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Ian Livingston, 28, of Chelton Avenue in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood, with  on Jan. 15. Livingston's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Couthouse on April 9. Livingston was granted an ARD hearing to begin on May 18.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Anthony Yost, 49, of Jacob Street in Pittsburgh's Overbrook neighborhood, with . Yost , where it was determined that his case would then be part of a . Yost pled guilty to the DUI charge during that conference and, on April 11, was sentenced to four days of confinement. His other charges were withdrawn.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Joseph Rotunda, 23, of Biltmore Avenue in Dormont, with  on Sept. 25. Rotunda's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 28. His case was then part of a . Rotunda pled guilty during that conference and was sentenced to complete a 90-day individualized program plan and 18 months of probation.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Rebecca McGuffey, 42, of Milbeth Drive in Mt. Lebanon, with  on Jan. 8. McGuffey's , and she faced those charges at the Allegheny County Couthouse on April 16. McGuffey was granted an ARD hearing to begin on June 13.
