Results from Magisterial District Court 05-2-17

Judge Barton's jurisdiction includes Whitehall Borough and Baldwin Township.

The following results are from recent hearings held in the  office of Magistrate David J. Barton of District Court 05-2-17:

 

  • charged Jared McKee, 26, of Mattern Avenue in Dormont Borough, with  on Dec. 11. McKee's Feb. 21 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 9.

 

  • police charged Brandon Bostocky, 34, of Bristol Street on the border of Pittsburgh's Hazelwood and Greenfield neighborhoods, with on Jan. 4. Bostocky's Feb. 21 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Couthouse on April 9.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Ian Livingston, 28, of Chelton Avenue in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood, with on Jan. 15. Livingston's Feb. 21 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Couthouse on April 9.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Charles Greenwald, 23, of Skyline Drive in 's area, with  on Sept. 24. Greenwald's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Jan. 11. Greenwald was granted an to begin on Feb. 24. He was sentenced to six months of probation.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Rebecca McGuffey, 42, of Milbeth Drive in Mt. Lebanon, with on Jan. 8. McGuffey's Feb. 28 hearing before Barton was waived, and she will face those charges at the Allegheny County Couthouse on April 16.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Joseph Rotunda, 23, of Biltmore Avenue in Dormont, with  on Sept. 25. Rotunda's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 28. His case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for April 11. That conference should result in the next legal step for Rotunda's charge.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Ryan Fogarty, 34, of Lexington Drive in Lawrence, PA, with  on Sept. 24. Fogarty's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Jan. 11. Fogarty had a and will now have a plea hearing on May 8.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Zachary Ostrowski, 24, of Highview Road in Baldwin Township, with  on Sept. 24. Ostrowski's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 14. He was granted an ARD hearing to begin on May 18.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Sarah Daft, 46, of Fortuna Avenue in Brookline, with  on July 30. Daft's , and she faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 14. Her case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for April 30. That conference should result in the next legal step for Daft's charge. UPDATE: Rescheduled for July 23.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Daniel Smaglo, 40, of Beltram Avenue in Baldwin Township, with on Feb. 10. Smaglo's Feb. 21 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 9. UPDATE: Rescheduled for May 9.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Todd M. Beckett, 44, of Arkansas Avenue in Dormont, with  on Nov. 12. Beckett's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 19. He was granted an ARD hearing to begin on May 18.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Jonathan Rakestraw, 27, of Linda Drive in Brookline, with  on Dec. 9. Rakestraw's , and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 19. He was granted an ARD hearing to begin on May 1.

 

  •  charged Christopher Carr, 39, of 1691 Skyline Dr., Apt. 7, in the Prospect Park area, with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and forgery and Lisa Marie Victorelli, 39, of 1691 Skyline, Apt. 6, with forgery, criminal conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance, all stemming from . Carr's criminal mischief charge was withdrawn on Dec. 13, but his remaining charges were all waived for court. He and moved on to a March 16 pretrial conference, where he was scheduled for a non-jury trial to begin on May 22. Victorelli's , and she faced her charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on March 19. Check back with the Baldwin-Whitehall Patch for results of that appearance.

 

  • Whitehall Borough police charged Stephen Michael Fazio, 29, of 1826 Parkline Dr. in Whitehall, with  on Dec. 16. , and Fazio faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 21. He will now have a pretrial conference on March 30.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Nathan Vincent Contosta, 32, of 238 Cedar St. in , with on Nov. 15. Barton held Contosta's charges at a Feb. 28 hearing, and Contosta will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 5.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Robert Bryan Weisen, 22, of 1315 Rodgers St. in Pittsburgh's Lincoln Place neighborhood, with assault, harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from . Weisen's , and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 8. He had a and will now face a non-jury trial to begin on May 31. (UPDATE: Rescheduled for Sept. 6.)

 

  • From October: Whitehall police charged Latasha Richards, 35, of 954 Manton Way in Pittsburgh's Allentown neighborhood, with on Sept. 25. The charge was changed to disorderly conduct, and Richards pled guilty in front of Barton on Oct. 21. She was fined approximately $240.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Daniel Robert Kerekes, 48, of 1253 Megown Dr. in South Park Township, with on Feb. 10. Kerekes pled guilty in front of Barton on March 1 and was fined approximately $240.
